Privacy Policy

This policy describes what happens to personal information in connection with prowave.online. The site collects nothing through its own pages, and this policy explains what that means, what is nonetheless recorded by the hosting provider, and what rights you have.

1. Who is responsible for your personal information

The publisher of prowave.online, and the entity responsible for any personal information handled in connection with it, is:

NICE connection s.r.o. Dlouhá 715/38, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic Company number: 19245858 VAT number: CZ19245858 Email: info@prowave.online

NICE connection s.r.o. is the controller of that information. This policy is written with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, because the site is published for readers in Australia, and with reference to the General Data Protection Regulation, because the publisher is established in the European Union. Section 11 covers the latter.

2. What is collected

Three categories exist, and there are no others.

Nothing collected through the site itself
There is no form, no input field, no newsletter sign-up, no account, no comment section, no quiz and no chat widget anywhere on prowave.online. The site sets no cookies, uses no localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, runs no analytics, loads no third-party script, and performs no fingerprinting. Nothing about you is recorded by the pages you read here.
Server logs kept by the hosting provider
Like any web server, the machine serving these pages records ordinary access logs. Each entry contains the IP address of the request, the user agent string sent by the browser, the URL requested, the response status and the date and time. An IP address can be personal information, which is why it is described here.
Whatever you put in an email
If you write to info@prowave.online, the publisher receives your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever the message contains. Nothing is collected in that exchange beyond what you choose to send.

3. Why each category is handled, and on what basis

Server logs are kept for two purposes only: keeping the site available and secure, including identifying abusive traffic, and diagnosing technical faults. They are not used to build a profile of any reader, are not analysed for marketing, and are not combined with any other source of information. The basis for handling them is the publisher's legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website; under the Australian Privacy Principles, this is information reasonably necessary for the publisher's functions.

Email correspondence is handled for the purpose of answering it. If you send a correction, it is used to check and fix the page. If you make a privacy request, it is used to respond to that request. Your address is not added to any list, because no list exists, and you will not receive marketing from this publisher.

4. How long information is kept

  • Server access logs: retained for 30 days from the date of the request, then deleted or overwritten by the hosting provider in the ordinary course of its log rotation.
  • Email correspondence: retained for 12 months from the date of the last message in the exchange, then deleted. Where a message relates to a legal claim or a regulatory complaint, it is retained until that matter is concluded and for 12 months afterwards.
  • Anything else: there is nothing else. No database of readers exists, because nothing is collected to put in one.

5. Who information is disclosed to, including overseas

Two recipients exist, and both are necessary to run the site.

The first is the hosting provider, which operates the server that stores and serves these pages and generates the access logs described above. The second is the email provider that carries and stores messages sent to info@prowave.online. Neither is given access to reader information for any purpose of its own.

No other third party receives anything. The site contacts no external host when it loads: there is no content delivery network, no font service, no analytics provider, no advertising network and no social platform embedded in any page. No advertising partner receives information from this site about who visited it; where a reader follows an affiliate link, their browser makes a fresh request to that destination, and what happens then is governed by that destination's own privacy policy, not by this one.

Cross-border disclosure (APP 8). The publisher is located in the Czech Republic, and the hosting and email providers may store and process information in the Czech Republic, elsewhere in the European Union, or in other countries where their infrastructure is located. Personal information handled in connection with this site is therefore disclosed to recipients outside Australia. Before disclosing personal information overseas, the publisher takes reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, principally by contracting with providers that are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so the content of a page request is encrypted between your browser and the server. Access to the server, to the site's files and to the info@prowave.online mailbox is limited to the publisher's own personnel and protected by unique credentials and multi-factor authentication where the provider supports it. Because the site collects nothing, there is no reader database to secure, which is the most effective security measure available and the reason the site is built this way.

7. Your rights: access, correction and complaint

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may ask for access to the personal information the publisher holds about you, and you may ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. In practice the only such information is likely to be an email you have sent and, for a limited period, a log entry that cannot be connected to you without information you would have to supply.

  1. Write to info@prowave.online describing what you are asking for. There is no fee for making a request.
  2. The publisher will respond within 30 days. If a request is refused, the response will explain why and how to complain about the refusal.
  3. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the national privacy regulator, at oaic.gov.au. The OAIC generally asks that you raise the complaint with the organisation first, which is why step one matters.

8. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved, the publisher will assess it promptly and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 applies, notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as that scheme requires.

9. Children

Prowave is not directed at people under 16, and no page on this site is presented as suitable for children. Nothing is collected from any reader, including children, because the site has no mechanism to collect anything. If you believe a child has sent personal information to info@prowave.online and you would like it deleted, write to that address and it will be removed.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date at the top. Where a change is substantive — for example, if the site ever began collecting something — it will be described on this page rather than made silently, and any collection mechanism will not go live before the policy describing it does.

11. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

The publisher is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to its handling of personal information, and the UK GDPR applies equivalently to readers in the United Kingdom.

The legal basis relied on for server logs is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): keeping the site secure and available, and diagnosing faults. The legal basis for handling email correspondence is legitimate interests in responding to the person who wrote. Consent is not relied on anywhere, because the site sets no cookies and uses no non-essential storage, so there is nothing that requires consent and no consent banner is shown.

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. Requests go to info@prowave.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, either in the country where you live or the publisher's own authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection) in the Czech Republic.

12. Related documents

The cookie policy explains in more detail why there are no cookies and no consent banner. The terms of use set out the basis on which the site is published, and the affiliate disclosure explains the commercial arrangement behind the marked links.
